AJAX Company JackBe Names Bob Bianchi VP of Sales

Expand Market for Enterprise SOA/AJAX Solutions

JackBe, the leading provider of enterprise solutions that integrate SOA and Ajax to deliver the next generation of rich Internet applications, announced Bob Bianchi has joined the company as vice president of sales. Bianchi, formerly an executive in sales and alliances at Novell, will report to president and CEO Luis Derechin and lead the worldwide sales expansion of JackBe.

"Companies around the world are seeking to leverage their investments in service-oriented architecture (SOA) with enterprise Web 2.0 technologies that enable new business and application models like Software as a Service (SaaS), enterprise mashups, and browser-based deployment of applications," said Derechin. "Bob Bianchi's enthusiasm, creativity and experience in driving sales and alliances will be critical to maintaining JackBe's dominance in this emerging market and addressing the fast-growing demand for our SOA/Ajax solutions."

Bianchi boasts more than a decade of senior sales leadership in the software industry. Prior to Novell, Bianchi was a Vice President of Sales for Silverstream Software, a leading provider of Web application development platforms, where he was responsible for driving enterprise sales and services to Fortune 1000 customers. Bianchi has also held senior sales management positions at Cognos, Oracle and Mindbank.

"It is an exciting time in software as enterprises are turning to Web-based technologies such as Ajax for the next cycle of software investments that will power their business," said Bianchi. "JackBe is an impressive company with a significant market opportunity, a strong leadership position and a tremendously talented team. I look forward to bringing my experience to JackBe to help the company expand its presence and sales efforts worldwide - and extend its leadership position in delivering enterprise Ajax/SOA solutions."
