Web 2.0, Java and the Solaris 10 OS to Get Center Stage at Sun Tech Days Conference

Sun Executive Vice President of Software, Rich Green, to Keynote Event

Sun Microsystems has announced the details of the first Sun Tech Days developer conference of 2006-2007. Sun Tech Days are loaded with technical content, practical "how to" information, demonstrations, examples of real-world solutions, hands-on training and more. There is no charge to attend the Sun Tech Days in Seattle but space is limited.

Rich Green, executive vice president of Software at Sun will be the featured keynote on Thursday, September 7th and will discuss how the emergence of Web 2.0 technologies coupled with the continued movement towards open source is providing unique opportunities for developers to innovate and create value on the network. Rich will also update the audience on where Sun is in providing open source implementations of Java technology, Sun's tools strategy, the Solaris 10 Operating System (Solaris 10 OS) and new developer offerings.

In addition, developers can select from sessions on:
· Java Platform Enterprise Edition (Java EE)
· Java Platform Standard Edition (Java SE)
· Java Platform Micro Edition (Java ME)
· Developer Tools
· Solaris 10 OS
· Web 2.0
