Jobster Introduces Workplace Superstar Tags With AJAX Interface

Launch of Superstar Tags Lets Jobseekers Get Discovered More Easily

Jobster Inc.has released a set of new features designed to go beyond the static resume, empowering jobseekers to easily define themselves and be found by potential co-workers and employers. Jobster Superstar Tags are initially five stack-ranked keywords that jobseekers apply to themselves describing their skills, qualities or interests in a simplified way. Unique to the Jobster website,Superstar Tags allow individuals to easily create and adjust the ranking to control how they are found online, using an intuitive Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) drag-and-drop user interface. These tags can be searched by individuals looking to connect with people at the places they want to work and by employers looking to connect with candidates with the right skills and experience.

For example, a financial planner seeking employment in Chicago might choose the following Superstar Tags: (1) Chicago, (2) CFA, (3) analytical,(4) research and (5) self-starter. A sales manager in the Bay Area might use the following Superstar Tags: (1) leader, (2) team manager, (3) sales,(4) Bay Area and (5) results-oriented. Adjusting the order of these Superstar Tags -- or adding additional tags -- would change how such individuals are found in search results and/or matched to jobs. A screenshot of the Jobster Superstar Tags is provided below. More information can be found on the Jobster website at http://www.jobster.com 'Jobster is helping employers pinpoint workplace superstars like never before,'' said Jason Goldberg, CEO of Jobster. ''Our record third-quarter results indicate the job board market is shifting. Companies and jobseekers want to move beyond the typical job boards and use social networking, referrals and tagging tools that Jobster delivers as part of the evolution in recruiting and job search.'' Additional commentary on this Superstar Tags is available at Goldberg's blog at http://www.jobster.blogs.com .

The newest Jobster features come in the wake of another record quarter at Jobster. Jobster signed contracts with more than 140 new customers for its subscription-based online recruiting service, growing the customer base by over 30 percent. Companies of all sizes are now using Jobster to target, engage and hire the best talent, including 15 percent of Fortune 100 companies. New Jobster customers include General Electric Co., HP and American Express Co. More than 585,000 people have an ongoing relationship with their current employer or a potential employer through a Jobster Talent Network. Jobster continues to grow in popularity for jobseekers, who are able to search more than 2.5 million unique job listings on Jobster and get insight into the companies they most want to work for. In all, during the third quarter there were more than 4.5 million unique job searches tallied on Jobster.com.

Valuable insight about companies on Jobster.com comes from user-generated content created by users answering questions about themselves, their employers and their careers. The result is a wealth of insider knowledge about what it is really like to work for thousands of companies in a variety of industries, which dramatically simplifies the oftenfrustrating process of discovering authentic relevant information about a potential employer. From a jobseeker discovery standpoint, this user-generated content also provides the opportunity for jobseekers to put their best professional foot forward and get noticed for the jobs that are right for them.

''By building out my Jobster page now, I am not only positioning myself to be found more easily by potential employers using the Jobster service to find great talent, but also by employers searching for candidates across the entire Internet,'' said Mike Tilford, a Boston University MBA student and Jobster user.
