S.African ISP Selects Aladdin AJAX-Enabled eSafe SecureSurfing Solution To Offer Customers Safe Web Browsing

BCSnet Customers To Receive Real-time Web Surfing Exploit, Vulnerability, And AJAX Client-Attacks Blocking Capabilities

Aladdin Knowledge Systems announced that BCSnet, one of South Africa's largest BEE ICT infrastructure service providers and one of the country's largest ISPs, selected Aladdin's AJAX-enabled eSafe SecureSurfing solution to offer both its business and consumer customers "clean pipe" Internet access. Expected to stand as one of the largest implementations of eSafe SecureSurfing solutions since its release last year, Johannesburg-based BCSnet plans to begin offering the solution to its ISP customers in Q1 2007.

The first-ever technology designed for ISP-managed security services, the eSafe SecureSurfing platform allows BCSnet to offer centralized, value-added security service that inspects and filters Web traffic before it reaches the surfer, freeing ISP subscribers of the hassle of maintaining desktop-based software to thwart threats such as spyware and phishing attacks.

"With little investment up front, BCSnet is able to quickly deploy Aladdin's eSafe SecureSurfing solution, further differentiating us from the competition while also greatly expanding revenue opportunities," said Niel De Wet, executive director for BCSnet. "We're pleased to be able to soon offer our thousands of customers a simple, low-cost value added service that drastically reduces their security concerns while surfing the Web. eSafe SecureSurfing is a fitting accompaniment to BCSnet's ongoing innovation for ISP customers."

"Aladdin's fast-paced success with eSafe SecureSurfing continues to arm ISPs from around the globe with a truly unmatched solution that repeatedly proves to be popular with ISP subscribers, while also ramping their revenues," said Shimon Gruper, vice president of technologies for the Aladdin eSafe Business Unit. "It's a win-win opportunity, as large ISPs such as BCSnet are realizing the huge demand for 'clean Internet pipe' technology that delivers high security and complete transparency for the end user. ISPs that are now offering eSafe SecureSurfing quickly see it as technology that clearly sets them apart from the competition."

For a small monthly fee, BCSnet customers will be able to receive eSafe SecureSurfing's powerful capabilities:

-- Real-time Web surfing security with four-layer spyware blocking utilizing 15 anti-spyware technologies, stopping both standard and targeted spyware attacks
-- Real-time Web surfing Trojan and worm blocking with full inspection of all Web page content
-- Real-time Web surfing exploit, vulnerability, and AJAX client-attacks blocking - truly proactive security
-- Web email security and antivirus effective for almost any Web-based email service, including Hotmail, GMail, Yahoo! Mail, etc.
