"Techno Persuasion" Blogger Steve Rubel Joins AJAXWorld 2007 (East) Faculty in New York

March 16-19, 2007 Sees the Biggest Ever East Coast Event Devoted to AJAX, RIAs, and Web 2.0

Steve Rubel (pictured), the senior vice president of public relations firm Edelman - one of the world's largest - will at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 (East) in New York City be speaking about how AJAX is leading to the ever increasing "microchunking" of the Web and the ramifications this will have on consumers, marketers and media.

Widely viewed as an expert on conversational marketing, Rubel is often sought out as a speaker and appears frequently in the press. He has been named to several prestigious lists, including: Media Magazine's Media 100, the AlwaysOn/Technorati Open Media 100 and the CNET News.com Blog 100. Prior to joining Edelman in 2006, he spent five years at CooperKatz & Company.

Rubel's session will form part of a 2-day track devoted to Web 2.0 issues and techniques delivered at AJAXWorld 2007 East by such Next-Generation Internet luminaries as Stowe Boyd, Hooman Radfar, Yuval Tarsi, Dean Allemang, Dion Hinchcliffe, Dustin Whittle, Coach Wei, Troy Angrignon, and Alex Barnett.

At AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East, delegates will hear and learn not only the history, process, and inspiration behind AJAX, they will also be helped to design actual AJAX applications using JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), the Document Object Model (DOM) and XMLHttpRequest Object.

Delegates can hand-pick sessions from six tracks pitched at a a variety of levels from Beginner to Advanced. Rather than staying at the platform-agnostic level, developers and IT professionals will find among the 100+ sessions at AJAXWorld real-world examples in all the main server-side technologies such as PHP, Java, .NET and ColdFusion.

As the price of attention goes up, the per capita spending on goods and services increases, the cost of content will shift towards those who'd like to command that attention. I'd love to see my cable company try to charge me for premium channels in 10 years.

My bet will be with those who strip content to smaller pieces (microchunking) and float it on the edge.
