RIA & Ajax: Article

Helmi Open Source RIA Platform and the CCS ThinWire Solution To Be Integrated

"Working with CCS enables both companies to go to market with a robust AJAX solution for our customers."

"Working with CCS enables both companies to go to market with a robust AJAX solution for our customers," said Juho Risku (pictured), CTO and founder of Helmi Technologies, as Helmi announced this morning at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo 2007 East in New York that they have joined forces with Custom Credit Systems (CCS), developer of the ThinWire RIA Platform, to deliver an integrated client-server AJAX solution.

“This relationship will provide companies with a very compelling AJAX solution,” said Brian Shaw, President and CEO of CCS. “ThinWire is a development framework that excels on the server side and Helmi’s client-side solution is best in class. Together we offer companies the ability to implement a productivity-enhancing solution that’s second to none.”

By integrating the Helmi Open Source RIA Platform and the CCS ThinWire solution, Risku added, customers will benefit by having what he called "a seamless, best-of-breed AJAX solution."

“The joint solution will provide features and capabilities that we wouldn’t be able to achieve individually,” he continued.

Once the solution is available, CCS will evaluate the use of the integrated platform in future releases of its credit products that target banks and financial institutions.

By announcing the new arrangement at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo, the leading Web 2.0 and RIA event that is taking place on March 19-21, 2007 in New York City, Helmi and CCS/ThinWire confirmed the show's importance as the leading event in the rich user experience and next-generation Internet space.

ThinWire is an LGPL open source, free for commercial use, development framework that allows companies to easily build applications for the Web that have responsive, expressive and interactive user interfaces without the complexity experienced in traditional Web application development.

The Helmi AJAX-based Open Source RIA Platform, both cmpanies said, is "a powerful, easy-to-use toolkit for building browser-independent, highly interactive and intuitive Internet applications."

"The platform will help developers minimize the Internet traffic between application and server, thus restoring the user experience from current, sluggish Web applications to that of familiar desktop software," the companies said in an announcement of the new partnership.
