RIA & Ajax: Article

Kevin Hakman, TIBCO GI Co-Founder, Live from AJAXWorld 2007 East

His theme: AJAX RIAs and the Service-Oriented Platform"

With its $500M a year in revenue, TIBCO was a great suitor for General Interface (GI) to align itself with, explained GI Co-Founder Kevin Hakman today at AJAXWorld Conference & Expo in New York City. Hakman was explaining to the audience in the Grand Ballroom of The Roosevelt Hotel about how leveraging publish/subscribe architectures in your AJAX applications will help you scale and increase performance and reuse of application components.

Hakman also offered a look at publish/subscribe AJAX implementations that blur the line between client and server events, and discussed how to deploy directly to a browser or leverage your portal infrastructure.

Now up to version 3.3, TIBCO General Interface 3.3 Professional Edition is an AJAX toolkit for building and deploying Rich Internet Applications, components and portlets that look similar to desktop software.
