Server-Side, PHP-Generated AJAX

Unfortunately as PHP/AJAX applications are forcing applications to morph from two-tier to three-tier architectures

Most developers are intimately familiar with techniques to combine PHP with client-side JavaScript libraries to create rich user experiences. Moreover, the client-side nature of the JavaScript code offers the ability to develop these rich applications very rapidly. But unfortunately as PHP/AJAX applications are forcing applications to morph from two-tier to three-tier architectures, pushing code to the client adds inherent issues with security and code maintenance. New techniques are being developed that focus on server-side generated AJAX, allowing developers to code AJAX applications in PHP instead of JavaScript. We will discuss and demo many of these new techniques that will allow for the development of rich, AJAX user experiences without needing to code any JavaScript. We will also discuss how these techniques can be used in new IT initiatives as well as integrated with existing applications and projects.

I would like to draw your attention to an AJAX paradigm shift. One should be aware that I am not, and do not pretend to be objective. Visual WebGui is an open source rapid application development framework for graphic user interfaces of IT web applications. It replaces the obsolete paradigms of ASP.NET which were designed for developing sites, with WinForms methodologies, which were designed for developing applications. Thus enabling designer that was designed for application. This provides the developer with an extremely efficient way to design interfaces using drag and drop instead of hand coding HTML. VWG doesn’t expose logic, data or open services on client requests and therefore is not as vulnerable as common AJAX solution. Worth a look – www.visualwebgui.com
