AJAX-Based, Web 2.0, SOA-Friendly Enterprise Content Publishing in New Spanish Triumph

Medicom Editorial adopts Quasar Technologies Automatic Paginator Software to create Vademecum

Quasar Technologies, a global provider of AJAX-based, Web 2.0, services-oriented Enterprise Content Publishing (ECP) solutions, has successfully integrated its automatic pagination software, Paginator, for Medicom Editorial to automatically create Vademecum International, the prestigious medical reference journal in Spain.

Comprised of over 2,500 pages and built upon complex composition rules and tables, Quasar’s Paginator is the only system that has been able to successfully tackle all of the demanding requirements of Vademecum.

Prior to using the Paginator, the workflow process for Vademecum was extremely lengthy and tedious. Quasar’s Paginator has now greatly simplified the communication line between Medicom and the Pharmaceuticals by automating the entire process. What previously took many demanding hours to create is now automatically completed within minutes. Quasar even went as far as configuring the Paginator for Vademecum to intelligently manage all of its complex tables allowing them to make instantaneous last minute changes.

Thanks to the Paginator being Powered by Adobe InDesign Server CS3, Quasar is able to ensure the highest possible levels of quality and speed required for the automatic creation of sophisticated publications such as Medicom’s Vademecum.

The journal is updated yearly and distributed both printed and digital (CD, PDA and on line in www.vademecum.es).
