Real-Time Kaazing Solution and Sun's Glassfish Forge RIA Alliance

Enterprise Real-Time Web Provider Kaazing Joins Sun's Glassfish ISV Community

Kaazing Corporation and Sun Microsystems announced an alliance to deliver the scalable and advanced real-time Web 2.0 platform. The integration between Kaazing's real-time Rich Internet Application (RIA) solution, Enterprise Comet, and Sun Microsystems' open source Java EE application server, Glassfish, enables customers to create and deploy scalable mission-critical real-time solutions such as trading systems, betting and gambling applications, and interactive sports and news broadcasts, to the Web.

"We are very excited to work with such renowned company," said Jacobi, chief executive officer of Kaazing. "Sun has always been at the forefront of Web technology, which complements Kaazing's forward thinking mindset well. Combining Sun's application server, Glassfish, with Kaazing's real-time Web engine, Enterprise Comet, provides a development platform that allows developers to push the boundaries of the Internet, enabling the delivery of more dynamic and interactive applications than currently exist today. I am confident that with Sun's support, Kaazing can alter the fabric of the Web, creating a new Web that allows the development of real-time, multi-user applications based on simple and democratizing standard technologies like Java, HTML and JavaScript."

With Kaazing's patent-pending Enterprise Comet technology, Sun Microsystems can offer its customers a highly scalable, advanced real-time Web solution capable of powering some of the largest marketplaces in the world. Through this partnership, Kaazing continues to expand its capability to deliver scalability and real-time performance benefits to Rich Internet Applications.

"As far as we're concerned, the enterprise equals Java," said John Fallows, CTO and co-founder of Kaazing Corporation. "We have been actively involved in the Java community for many years and when we were introduced to project Glassfish, we were quickly convinced that its combination of low development impact and high performance was a perfect fit for our real-time Web solution. Together with Sun we can now deliver an advanced and scalable real-time Web 2.0 solution for the Java enterprise."
